Used Motorhome Checklist: Points To Save Your Money

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Buying an used motorhome can be sometimes very hectic and isn’t simple. It can become very difficult when you are planning to live in the motorhome for any amount of time.

For this reason, it is always essential to have some important checklists to go over to see any problems you might be facing after buying a used RV Motorhome. Sellers usually don’t tell you the problems they know of, as the saying goes “Buyers Beware”. The dealer will make his commission no matter how long the RV was in use, so it is up to you to make sure you get the best deal.

Not to waste any more time, some key points have been presented to look over when planning to buy a used motorhome.

Checking the Engine and Oil

Engine and Oil is the lifeblood for any vehicle. Checking the oil would be a great start to ensure the condition of the engine. If the oil smells burnt, you may have a problem on your hands.

Rust Condition

Rust is the natural breakdown of iron and metal. RVs travelling in those parts of the country having snow and salt will be more prone to rust. Purchasing used motor homes from the south can help this rust problem, but they will cost a bit more. If there is structural rust on the frames, it is better to avoid those motorhomes as they are at their end of life.

Service Records

Service records will show the proper maintenance of the motorhome maintained by the previous user. It will also show you the number of previous user of that RV. And if they fail to provide any paperwork, its advisable not to settle for that used motorhome.

Motorhome Financing

Finance companies offer better options for certain RV builders, on certain models especially those that have low depreciation. The purchase of an used motorhome should be done without a thorough inspection of the finance options attached to that RV.

According to me, learning enough about used motorhomes to make an educated buying decision is just another good common sense. What you learn before you get the used motorhome will certainly carry over into what you will need to know to keep your motorhome in proper shape.

Looking for a great gift for the Paintball enthusiast in your family? Well, fall of 2006 marked the largest debut of new products in Paintball’s history. No matter what your budget; there is a hot new product to fit the bill.

Custom Products has always been known for their wide selection of “after-market” items for many different paintball markers. This holiday season they’re released their new Air Systems. They will be available in both 48 and 68ci and in high or low pressure. Prices on the air systems start around $220. They also just released 06 Ego Sling and Rake triggers as well as on/off plugs for the DM6. With prices below $30, these will make great stocking stuffers.

As anticipated, Dye rolled out their entire 2007 arsenal at this year’s World Cup. They didn’t disappoint with a redesigned C7 paintball clothing line, new C7 Slide Shorts, and their flagship marker the DM7. The DM7 is both smaller and lighter than last year’s DM6 and now includes a lever locking clamp feed neck. The new DM7s are retailing for $1399.

Dye’s daughter company, Proto, has also been hard at work. Their answer to Smart Parts low end / high performance Ion is the Proto Matrix Rail. The Rail retails at a mere $400 but includes BIG features such as anti chop eyes, a super light composite trigger frame, rate of fires in excess of 17 balls per second, and a bolt assembly that can easily be removed and cleaned from the back of the marker. It will be available in Black only through the holidays and additional colors will be available in early 2007.

Kingman and Tippmann are both battling for the entry level crowd. Tippmann’s new X7 Marker is designed to be the most customizable marker ever. It has thousands of combinations possible including new barrels, barrel shrouds, stocks, mock magazines, and many other accessories to fit any user’s desires. Kingman dropped their new VS line in the 3rd quarter. The VS2 and VS3 are complete revisions of the Spyder line but affordably priced. The VS2 starts at only $190 and includes high end features including low pressure operation and anti chop eyes.

Planet Eclipse completely redid their amazingly popular 06 Ego in the newly release 07 Ego. The 07 Ego isn’t just a revision; it’s a complete redesign of the Ego platform. The paintball marker is nearly a half pound lighter and has a new solenoid, grip frame, trigger, shaft barrel, totally revamped internals, and much more. This is the “must have” marker for 2007. Prices start at $1250. They will begin shipping to dealers on December 8th.

This year Empire released a full line of new paintball clothing and most notably their new marker the Invert Mini. The Invert is scheduled to begin shipping December 1st and has a laundry list of features including a gas through grip frame (a first for paintball) that allows the air in your bottom line to feed directly through your grip and into the marker. No more external hoses! It is both small and light and at only $400, it offers features comparable to markers double its cost!

Smart Parts has astonished the Paintball world with a complete revamp of their product line in the last 2 years. The introduction of the Ion in 2004 was their first step into the high performance low cost market at only $285. Only 2 years later, they’ve released the Epiphany. The Epiphany is based off the Ion design but includes a metal body, newly redesigned trigger frame, freak barrel, fire bolt, and a new adjustable firing chamber for increased efficiency. At only $400 this will be one of the hottest sellers this holiday season. Epiphanys begin shipping December 10th.

Other notable releases include VForce’s new Grillz system, Draxxus’s new 30+ balls per second Pulse Loader, and DerDer’s Soldiers of Misfortune DVD.

Personal Ovulation Calendar

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Understanding menstrual cycle is important if you want to chart fertility patterns, predict ovulation, and increase your chances of becoming pregnant or avoid unwanted pregnancy.

During menstrual cycle, there are far more infertile days than fertile days. The fertile days are days when there is a possibility for conceiving. However, within fertile period - the window of opportunity for conception - there are days of “peak fertility”. Identifying these peak times, and planning accordingly, can help maximize or minimize chances of becoming pregnant.

Typically, ovulation takes place about 14 days after the beginning of a woman’s menstrual cycle. There are different ways to calculate ovulation. The easiest way is to use ovulation calendar to calculate the time of ovulation within cycle by subtracting the length of luteal phase from the length of cycle.

Advanced Woman Calendar is a new easy to use user-friendly personal ovulation calendar of menstrual cycles, and safe days for love. It helps to achieve or avoid pregnancy or even get baby gender prediction.

This program allows to use natural contraception method.

Advanced Woman Calendar shows the fertile days (days with increased probability of pregnancy), ovulation days and predicts baby’s gender (displays days with a bigger probability of having a boy or a girl). The results are presented as a color-coded calendar showing fertile and non-fertile periods.

* Want to avoid pregnancy?

The natural way to avoid unwanted pregnancy is to abstain from unprotected intercourse during your fertile days. The most fertile time is the day of ovulation. Advanced Woman Calendar uses ovulation calculator to find the fertile days taking into account possible variations in your menstrual cycle, helping you avoid an unwanted pregnancy.

* Want to become pregnant?

You are most fertile during the ovulation, so if you knowing time when you are ovulation will help to determine the best days to conceive. Pregnancy calendar can calculate the probability of conception based on your ovulation time and other factors such as lifespan of the egg and sperm.

* Want to choose the gender of your baby?

Advanced Woman Calendar helps you calculate the perfect time for conception, increasing your chances of conceiving a boy or a girl.

Choosing a Web Hosting Service

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Given the sheer number of web hosting providers, making the decision as to which one to go with can become a daunting task. What many people don’t realize is that the wrong choice can introduce a “single point of failure” into your otherwise successful online business. In this articles, I will discuss some of the major factors you should consider before you make that choice.

SPACE AND BANDWIDTH

The most common thing people look for in a hosting provider is the amount of disk storage space and “bandwidth” available to them. While these are certainly important, they should not alone be the deciding factors. Truth is, most providers today allocate more disk space and bandwidth than most people would need. As I explained in an earlier article, 5-10 Gigabytes (or more) of storage is A LOT of storage. Most people will never need this much. If you already have your website designed and ready to go on your own computer, simply right-click the folder and select properties to determine how much space it requires. Even if you use backend databases (e.g., MySQL, MS ACCESS), the vast majority of sites would never come close to requiring 5GB or more. As long as the hosting providers you are considering give you that 5GB or more, you will be fine in all but a few rare cases. If you discover you need more at a later time, make sure your provider gives you an easy upgrade path to a hosting plan with a higher allocation.

The same thing applies to bandwidth. Many, if not most, providers now give bandwidth allocatioins of 200Gb/month or more. That amount would be more than adequate for most small businesses. Let’s look at an example. If each visitor to your site uses, on average, 1MB of bandwidth to surf through your pages, a 200GB/month bandwidth allocation would handle 200,000 visitors/month. Even if each visitor browsed an average of 10MB on your site (which is HIGHLY unlikely), you could still handle 20.000 visitors/month. Of course, if your business really explodes into a huge success, your failsafe fallback position is choosing a hosting provider that allows for a painless upgrade path.

SHARED VS. DEDICATED HOSTING

In a shared hosting environment, your site is placed on a server that also provides hosting for a number of other people. You have your own space, your own domain and the rest, but other people are also using the resources of that server for their sites. There is no risk of your pages showing up on the other person’s site, or vice versa. Each site has it’s own unique set of folders, logins, and so forth.

Besides the fact that shared hosting costs considerably less, the important consideration for most people is that the hosting company support staff administers the server. If there is a problem with the server, they have to fix it, not you. When the operating system or other system software needs to be upgraded, they do it. All you worry about is your own site and the pages contained on it.

For a large number of small businesses, shared hosting is more than adequate. In a shared hosting environment, there is no need for you to have technical knowledge of Windows or Unix server administration. That’s not your core business so why would you want to take that on?

In some cases however, there may be specific reasons why someone needs to administer their own server. These usually involve people who have specialized requirements. In that case, a dedicated server would be the option of choice.

In a dedicated server environment, you have full control over everything. You configure the server the way you want it. You install operating system upgrades and patches, and you fix things when they crash. You determine what components run on the server (e.g. ASP .NET 1.1 or .NET 2.0). You determine if the server runs CDONTs or some other mailer program. It’s almost as if the server were in your home or place of business, except that you are administering it remotely.

Again, in the vast majority of cases for a small business, shared hosting would be the preference. In those cases where a dedicated server is required, most hosting companies provide that, along with the headaches.

COST

It is amazing to me what some hosting providers charge for their services. It is even more amazing that so many people pay these prices. Let’s consider a few of the “low end” hosting plans offered by some of the “big boys” in the web hosting sector.

One of them charges $9.95/mo for their basic service. They also require a $25 setup fee. For that, you get 2GB of storage space and 20GB of bandwidth. Another charges $14.95/month. With that, you get 500MB (MB, not GB) of storage, and 30GB of bandwidth. Are you kididng me?? There are thousands of hosting providers that will give you 10 times these amounts for $5/month or less. And if you compare other features, you will find that in most cases, these other providers also give you more in terms of email accounts and other “freebies”. It pays to compare. For those who want to spend double, or even triple, for domains and web hosting, go right ahead. It is your money after all.

Of course, you can always go with a “free” hosting account. You can’t beat the price. But that doesn’t normally allow you to use your own domain. You just become an extension of someone else’s’ (e.g., somehostingservice.com/yoursite). That doesn’t do much for your branding. With free sites, you can also expect a boatload of ads that the hosting company puts there. I doubt that is really the image you want to portray to your customers.

HOSTING PROVIDER VIABILITY

Many people overlook this consideration, but doing so can be a critical mistake. The last thing you need is to get a great site online, start receiving a ton of visitors and sales, and then have your hosting company go belly-up on you. It’s happened all too often.

It is to your benefit to make sure that whoever you host with will be there tomorrow, next month, next year and five years from now. You would be surprised how many hosting companies are run by a single person out of the basement of their home, or how many of them are operating on a shoestring.

Don’t be afraid to ask a potential hosting company where their servers are located, or how many people are on their staff. I have stated in other articles that it is vitally important for all businesses to have a Business Continuity Plan. Ask your potential hosting company if they have one. Ask them what happens to YOU if there is a fire in their server complex. And don’t be afraid to ask them what happens to the company if the owner gets hit by a beer truck on the way to work. It happens.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Depending on the needs for your online business, there are several other factors to consider when choosing your hosting provider:

- how many email accounts do they provide?
- do they provide “Blog” software or do you need a 3rd-party plugin
- do they provide “Discussion Forum” software, or do you need a 3rd-party plugin?
- do they provide a “shopping cart”?
- do they provide “merchant accounts” if you don’t already have one?
- do they provide “SSL” certificates for secure transactions?
- what is the upgrade path for adding features at a later date?
- do they provide robust traffic statistics?

You may not need all these features, but if you do, it’s easier to go with those that are integrated into your hosting plan. Determine what YOUR needs are, then select the hosting provider that gives you the best combination of price and features.

Connect With Source

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Daily stress getting to you? Want more peace and joy in your life? With terrorism, layoffs and pollution, can you feel safe and happy? Yes, you can-by tapping into Divine Source. We each have our own personal portal to the security, love, money and health we desire.

During many years of observing others and myself searching for fulfillment, I’ve noticed an essential ingredient is often missing. I call this ingredient Direct Connection with Source, or God. Without this quality in its authentic form, no folks I know have been able to achieve the contentment they’re seeking.

Throughout the years of assisting others and myself to feel truly joyous and free, I’ve watched people try to ignore, deny or rationalize away the importance of having a reliable, genuine link with Source. I’ve witnessed friends and clients attempt to fake it, substitute for it, and try to steal and borrow it from others. All these efforts have been in vain. Their time and energy would have been put to better use by focusing on allowing this quality to become a solid, personal reality in their life. In my experience, the conscious state of Connection with Divine Source is absolutely critical for genuine, lasting satisfaction in the Earth journey.

The Ego’s Conspiracy

When you genuinely recognize the fundamental truth of your own inescapable Connection with Source, the gig is up! The whole charade of separation is exposed as a lie-and, in fact, as an impossibility. This revelation is a death knoll for the aspect of you that tries to destroy your joy by threatening you with disapproval, disease and death.

This part of you that doesn’t want to give “up the ghost” (the illusion of separation) is variously referred to as the ego, mind, intellect, conditioning, programming or personality. This aspect of you bought into the common social experience that we’re separate and disconnected from God.

The Truth Revealed

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. You’re an eternal being, whether you like it or not, whether you’re aware of it or not! And having a personal direct connection to Source is a way to experience for yourself beyond doubt that you have an everlasting permanency!

Re-Connect on All Levels

This shift of attention cannot be just a mental exercise. You need to make a wholesale re-identification of your entire being with a personal everyday Connection with Source. This re-identification must be fully integrated on the emotional, spiritual, biological and molecular levels. And it’s crucial you create direct, first-hand, tangible and repeatable evidence that you have a permanent union with God.

The benefit of this personal, factual validation takes Source from the realm of the ideal to the reality of the practical. When you prove your Source nature to yourself repeatedly, at will, on your own terms, in your own way, and in your world, then it becomes real for you.

Grab Your Freedom

The whole process of accepting your Connection with Divine Source snowballs in the direction of freedom. The more time you spend in the vibration of personal power- Connection with Source, the easier it becomes to keep all your attention there. Soon, you find yourself living every day in an ocean of Infinite Supply. You have returned to the joyful state of Connection with Source.

How Do I Connect to Source?

1. One very effective way to experience Connection with Source is to use the complete recall of intuition. Intuition is the aspect of our consciousness that can remind us accurately, without ego filters or bias, of everything that has ever happened to us in our lifetime. Using intuitive, meditative, shamanic soul journeying, you can guide yourself to experientially re-connect with peak moments in your life when you did directly experience the vibration, energy and reality of Connection with Source-moments when you knew with certainty your true nature of personal eternalness.

2. Spend as much time in Nature as possible each day. Go to the country, a city park or your backyard. Walk barefoot in the grass. Garden. Let the wind, sun and rain affect you, touch you.

3. Engage in active, physical activities that you find centering, grounding, energizing and fun! … and, therefore, enlivening your fundamental, base line vibration of connection. The more you participate in life, the more life will flow through you. Walk, hike, run, swim, cook, play music, sing, skydive, quilt, fly a kite, hang with kids and animals.

4. Take some time each day to enjoy silence-so that you can hear Spirit when it speaks to you. This can be an active meditation-like yoga, tai-chi, walking or running-as well as a sitting or non-active mediation. The key here is to spend time not using your ego mind.

5. Hang out with people focused on the same intention as you: expanding their awareness, opening their heart and activating their higher frequencies. You can do this through friends and many social or spiritual groups. Go to a workshop or life coaching with a spiritual mentor.

6. Play at life. Play with life. Play in life … rather than plan, calculate or manipulate.

In these ways your internal pilot light will be continually re-lit. Your eternal inner fire of power, passion and permanence will burn more brightly.

The Fun Snowballs Upwards!

As you come alive again within, you naturally attract more outer evidence of your ability to source everything you desire in life. As you begin to vibrate at the frequency of Connection with Source in your everyday life, you attract more personal, direct evidence that you are always (all ways) in union with God. Remember, like vibration attracts and creates like vibration.

The more experientially convincing it becomes to you that you are connected with Source-and in charge of your own energy and survival-the more you will keep your creative attention focused on the realness of your own Connection with Source. As more attention remains focused on your true personal power, less attention is available to slip back into energizing old patterns of separation and powerlessness. Old fears of victimhood, insecurity and loneliness diminish and eventually dissolve from lack of sustaining attention.

You become self-sustaining. You allow others to do whatever they choose. You authentically offer others the space to be just as they are. You become more able to give the gift of total acceptance, unconditional love. Life becomes a lot more fun!

Break on through to Source

Connecting to Source is a fun and easily attainable state-since it is, after all, our natural state of being. Give it a chance. Relax that grip on your old picture of yourself and what you think is life is about. That’s all it takes to re-activate your direct link to the Oneness of all life!

Travel To Down Under

Monday, March 24th, 2008

I had the best vacation ever 4 years ago when i visit Australia. My recommendation is to visit this amazing country.I stayed most of my time in Perth, a cosy small city at the western Australia. Two of Perth’S favorite beaches are City and Cottesloe - about eight and 12 kilometers away.

Sydney and Melbourne are great cities to, excellent hotels and accomodation.Sunny, sexy, sophisticated Sydney. Sydney basks as the shining star of the southern hemisphere.

Melbourne, the capital of Victoria and a cultural hub, is known for the good things in life, in Melbourne you will find luxury hotels at its best.People here are laid back and very friendly.Great wines and international cuisine.Kangaroo and other exotic animals. So many things to explorer.

Take a road trip through the dessert.Take your next vacation to down-under,its a life time journey. The weather is so different. Spending Christmas at the beach or skiing in August may seem strange but Australia’s seasons are the opposite of the northern hemisphere, summer officially starts in December and winter in June. But even in winter you’ll enjoy blue skies and warm, bright days.

I had some very nice times in Australia,i visit all the cities mention above and made good friends with some people down under.Australia have great wines and a lot of wineries all over the Western Australia and rest of the country. Shiraz Wines, one of my favorite.

The flights can be enjoyable if you are able to relax and sleep through the most of the time. I have tried many different flights and airline companies and they are all great.Flyingtime is not a problem anymore.

I really recommend you to take a vacation to down under.I made a lot of good friends in Australia so i plan my next vacation to down under. If you enjoy laid back life and good food and wine in a cosy atmosphere with friendly people, its the correct place for you. You have everything, great wild nature and pulsing big cities, animals i never seen before except on TV.

Great aboriginal art.I went to Sydney to see the opera house, amazing, yes that the word for it, and the bridge, yes its something. When you travel to Australia you HAVE to taste some of their famous wines, I’m a wine drinker and there i had some of my best wine experiences. You will find international cuisine in all the big cities. What amazed me most was all the old buildings and so much alike Europe in their building style.

It all started up with prisoners and i must say they did a good job. I envy you who plan your next vacation to Australia and are able to experience this amazing continent before me, I’m planning my trip back in 2007. Have a safe and enjoyable vacation.

Learning How To Play Golf

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

The game of golf is played on a golf course, which is basically a large grassy landscape, consisting of lakes, trees, and small hilly mounds and is part of the way the game is played. A typical golf course has either nine-holes or eighteen holes.

To play the game, a player would require golfing equipment such as playing clubs, shoes, tees, balls and a golf bag to store these items. The club is used to hit the golf ball into successive holes located on the golf course.

Before a player hits the ball, he/she must stand with their feet apart and knees slightly bent. Holding the club firmly with both hands (placed one on top of the other), the player turn his/her body at the waist along with the hip and back, thereby swinging the golf ball back and then forward. At the forward motion the ball is hit with force and the player’s club is seen to continue to swing out. A low shot or a putt cover will cover short distances and is used when the golf ball is quite close to the hole. In the case of a long shot, the ball moves very high in the air and travels a great distance before falling to the ground.

The game begins with the player placing a tee into the ground of the teeing area. A golf ball is placed on top of the tee and the player uses his or her club to swing and hit the ball. The objective here is to get the ball into the first hole on the golf course. After the first player’s shot, other players follow, with each attempting to put the ball into each hole around the golf course.

As players progress through the game, they have to confront difficulties called “Hazards”. Water bodies such as small lakes, trees, shrubs, rough and sand-filled traps are all hazards, that the player has to get around, is the process of hitting a small white golf ball into a sunken hole in the golf course. In a situation where the golf ball lands into a hazard, the player should not touch the ground or water before playing the ball, even for a practice swing. If the player chooses not to play their golf ball in a hazard, the ball can be moved to the place from where it was originally shot, but a penalty stroke is added to the total score. Of course, with time and practice, many a player is known to become skilled and adept at the game.

A ball is considered to be lost when it cannot be found within five minute of the shot. If the ball was hit by the player into an area that’s out of bounds or is lost, a penalty stroke is added to the player’s score and the player has to replay his/her last shot.

In golf, scores are maintained by tracking the number of times taken by a player to hit a ball into every hole of the golf course. The player with the lowest number of hits wins the game.

How To Organize A Baby Shower

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Although a newborn’s arrival into the world can be a joyful occasion, it can also bring a lot of stress…not just for the parents, but for family and friends as well.

Baby showers are the perfect example. While they are used to celebrate the arrival of a brand new life into the world, they can also be stressful for the person hosting the occasion. If you are planning to throw a baby shower for a friend or a relative, and you are not sure exactly how to start organizing it, this article provides some tips.

Best time for a baby shower?

The best time to throw a baby shower is on the weekend, preferably mid-morning to late afternoon. Why? Because people work during the week. Also, consider having the baby shower later on in the mother-to-be pregnancy, around 9 weeks before the birth is best.

A baby shower can also be held after the birth of the child. This is the best plan if the mother-to-be is having complications with her pregnancy.

How many people should I invite?

One normally invites anywhere from 10 to 20 people to a baby shower. What one should also take into consideration when inviting people, is whether or not the location of the baby shower can accommodate only a few or a large group of people.

How long should a baby shower last?

A baby shower generally lasts about two to three hours. That should be enough time for everyone to mingle, the presents to be opened, and food eaten. Also, take into consideration the mother-to-be is more easily exhausted.

Who should pay for the baby shower?

The host/hostess should pay for the baby shower. A baby shower is perceived as a gift from the host to the bride. It is not unusual or wrong for the host to ask family or close friends to help out monetarily. So, if you need some financial help, don’t be shy in asking family and close friends. What is not acceptable is asking the mother-to-be for monetary help.

Should I throw a surprise shower?

If you are thinking of throwing a surprise shower, you may want to rethink. Surprise showers can cause the host all kinds of problems, namely making sure the mother-to-be arrives at the shower on time. The best plan is to throw a baby shower that the mother-to-be is aware of because she can offer much needed suggestions to the host.

Do you need to send out invitations?

Yes, one needs to send out invitations for a baby shower. It does not have to involve fancy stationery. One can go to any greeting card store and purchase invitations at a reasonable price. It is also important that you send out the invitations a few weeks in advance, preferably three to four weeks.

Can I have games at the baby shower?

Games are indeed very popular at baby showers. However, baby showers are primarily about the food, drink (non-alcoholic), presents and conversations. So while having games at a baby shower is fine, do not feel pressured to have them. If you do opt for games at a baby shower, be creative and make sure the games center on the baby and mother-to-be.
